Comedy Vs Drama

Wow, after thinking the idea of this film is gonna be comedy, we do a complete turnaround and plan on doing a drama film. This is getting annoying to think of. After reviewing films by other students from previous films, the trend was a drama film. There was nothing else but only drama/horror type films. Those films are also the easiest to produce.

If we do a drama film, we want to break the fourth wall. For example Deadpool do that brilliantly https://youtu.be/h7qYcQjsv0E . I understand that Deadpool is a comedy however just the thought process is a very good idea. Our film will more than likely have comedy but will focus more on a drama film.

Drama films are easy to make a script for. That’s why we like the thought process of doing that. The skit is easy to come to our head rather than trying to think of clever jokes to use. Especially for an opening it is great that we can give all our information and details of the film into the scene fairly easily. I believe my group and I need to focus on our genre and what we want to film immediately before we start or advance on anything. The genre needs to be spot on and then we can really start this film.
